A Message For You
We live in what has been called ‘a world with ragged edges’. All around us we see and feel the effects of a broken and disordered world. From earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis and other natural disasters to wars, ethnic cleansing, famines and other man made problems - the world and it’s people are suffering and in pain. This of course does not include the individual crisis that we face in our own communities and familes, such as mental and phyisical illness, family break down and the injustices we all struggle with.
Why is the world the way it is? Why is there so much pain and fear?
The answers are not easy and some we may find very surprising and even quite close to home. The Bible tells us that God who made the world and everything in it is in control of everything. In fact he cares about the world and it’s peoples so much that he has, from the beginning of time, put into effect his rescue opperation. This rescue is found not in some secret code or formula but in his Son Jesus Christ. The great hope and message of the bible is that through Jesus we can look forward to a new creation. A world were there is no more suffering, no more pain, no more death. This will one day be a sure and certain reality for all those who trust and await the return of God’s Son, Jesus the King.
